A White Christmas in Harmony

Christmas in the Dominican Republic
Today was Christmas Day and the best present of all was to talk to Dave for about two hours! It was so good to hear his voice and to feel his enthusiasm for the work he's doing. He loves training his new companion (his "baby missionary" they call the greenies) Elder Carter from Morgan, Utah. They've become great friends and are having much success together. Dave says it's certainly a different culture and a country with much poverty, but they are hungry for the gospel and he's loving the people. When Lindsay tried to talk to him about what plans he has after the mission he seemed hesitant to want to talk about coming home. He assured us he's anxious to see us all again but loves what he's doing and feels there's still much to do in such a little time. For us--there's no place we would rather he be, but will sure be glad to get him home on April 29th.

Getting Going
I am trying to help Dad figure this whole blog idea. The point of the blog is that as our family is spreading out was can still keep each other updated with pictures and updates by blogging it.
So here is the update on me. I am done with EFY for the summer. I really did love being a counselor. I met a lot of cool people I will be able to keep in touch with when I move up North. I did have plenty of experience working with 14 and 15 year old girls...I think that was so I could better understand Meggie! That is definitely an interesting age group with their own challenges, but it was still a lot of fun!

I am moving to Orem next week! I already have an apartment, which is right by Allie and Dave's place. I am right behind Wal-Mart, across the street from UVU. I am really excited to be moving to Orem!
I may have the apartment, but I am continuing the job hunt. I am still waiting to hear back about a position at UVU. We'll just see what happens. I am going to continue turning in application, and with everyone's prayers I will be unemployed for only a short time longer!
Well, I am going to sign off! I hope we all can catch wind on how this works. Maybe we will have to post Dave's letters and e-mails here too to keep everyone up to date on how he is doing! Well, adios!

Staying Posted
Hey Family!
This is our effort to keep each other posted on what everyone is up to with school, jobs, vacations, missions, and anything else of interest. Remember that "a picture paints a thousand words" so post lots of pictures too!
